Wednesday, Sept. 28, 5 p.m. meet at the Montclair Rec Center
We will hear from Denver Parks Horticulturist Laura Wigger. She will describe the City’s annual process for design, propagation, installation, and care of Lowry’s ornamental gardens and native areas. Laura has a degree in Public Horticulture and has been with CCD for three years; she is very enthusiastic and has prepared a tour map for our special LUN suggested tour.
We will also learn which Lowry Parks they maintain, the challenges and success stories.
The tour begins at the Montclair Rec Center and continues to the roundabout at 6th Ave. and Uinta. Laura will discuss the perennial beds and native grasses along the Great Lawn open space, and end at the annual beds along Lowry Blvd at Westerly Creek. You can also bike or drive.
You do not need to register for this free event.
See you at the Montclair Rec Center, 5 p.m., September 28!
