We know many residents have questions about the status of ADUs in Denver. ADU’s are accessory dwelling units. Today, about 25% of Denver is zoned for ADUs. While most of Lowry is not included in that, individual homeowners can go through an approval process to build an ADU on their existing property. The City, through its Blueprint Denver project, has been working on a strategy to recommend updates to specific zoning requirements. Community engagement to provide feedback on the proposed recommendations is important and a series of in-person and virtual open houses have been scheduled.
