Calling all kids, grandkids, and the young at heart! It’s time to dust off those streamers for our 4th Annual LUN Independence Day Celebration. This year is a significant milestone as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation and we want you at the center of the action. All neighborhood kids are invited to decorate their bikes, trikes, or wagons for our community parade. We’ll have prizes for the best-decorated wheels, and you’ll be marching alongside our high-flying Stilt-man and the Denver Mounted Police.

Saturday, June 27,10 a.m. – Noon
Sunset Park (located near E. 2nd Ave Pkwy & Pontiac St, Denver, CO 80220)
We’re gearing up for another great morning of neighborhood fun, and you won’t want to miss it.
We’ve got a fantastic lineup returning this year, including:

- LUN Photo Booth NEW this year!
- Stilt-man leading the parade
- Denver Mounted Police
- Old-fashioned games & patriotic music
- Face painting
- Kids & Pets Parade – get those bikes, wagons, scooters, and dogs decorated and ready to roll. We’ll have lots of prizes.
- Booths from both Lowry’s businesses and non-profit organizations

To keep everyone fed, we’ll be serving up our classic, LUN hot dog deal – a hot dog, chips, and a drink for just $4. And, of course, the highlight for the kids – the DFD will be there to spray water over the park at 11:30 a.m. to cool us all down!
To make this milestone celebration a success, we need a team of volunteers to help with event setup and teardown, assist kids with bike decorating, and manage the games or hot dog stand. If you can lend a hand and join the team, please contact Denny Head at dehead1@comcast.net.
This 4th annual celebration is LUN’s way to help make Lowry a great place to live. We can’t wait to see the Lowry spirit in full force as we celebrate America’s 250th together!
