In support of the recent influx of migrant students to Denver schools, the Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) is organizing the New to Country Student Supplies Drive. You may want to verify with your student’s teachers first, but broadly the DCTA is asking for:

• Adult and student-sized coats, hats, gloves and hoodies
• Feminine products
• Shampoo and soap
• Landry detergent, towels and toilet paper
• Backpacks with school supplies
• King Soopers, Safeway or Walmart gift cards
• ARC Thrift Store gift cards

If you don’t have a student at Lowry Elementary, you can drop off your donations at these locations:

• Johnson Elementary School — 1850 South Irving Street
