Lowry’s strength is a strong sense of community. The Lowry United Neighborhoods (LUN) mission is simple – building a stronger community. LUN is your Denver registered neighborhood organization representing both Lowry and Boulevard One.
If you have participated in the annual Independence Day Celebration, become involved with Block Builders, the Litter Free Lowry Clean Team, or attended a Town Hall presentation, you are aware of the value LUN brings to our community.
In November, these grass-roots efforts earned LUN the prestigious President’s Award for Outstanding Community Service from Denver’s Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation organization (INC) in recognition of the community service provided to our neighborhoods.
The all-volunteer LUN Board devotes a great deal of time providing these services. As with all organizations, there are expenses involved with production of our monthly newsletter and presenting various programs that are free to all. As Attorney General Phil Weiser noted during the November 18 Town Hall, LUN is “a perfect example of democracy” in action.
Your contribution will sustain the following:
• Block Builders: Providing a framework for neighbors looking out for each other block-by-block
• Flagship Events: Securing the Annual Independence Day Celebration for 2026
• Clean Neighborhoods: Supporting the Litter Free Lowry program
• Powerful Advocacy: Hosting Town Halls and maintaining strong relationships with the city (Council, Police, DOTI, etc.)
• Community Engagement: Publishing the monthly LUN e-newsletter, which features coming events, interesting neighborhood profiles, and community wide “OneLowry” information; and maintaining the LUN website and the Lowry Community Calendar
Our goal is $5,000.
