LUN Alliance Program, a new initiative to provide funding to support community partnerships

Community Updates Lowry Community Building Lowry Elementary School

In March, the LUN Board approved the establishment of the LUN Alliance Program, a new initiative designed to provide limited funding to support active community partnerships. Through this program, we are collaborating directly with Lowry Elementary School and the Montclair Recreation Center, providing local leadership – Lowry Elementary Principal Annie Larkin and Montclair Rec Center Supervisor Andrew Latson – with discretionary funding toeet the unique needs of local students and youth. Thank you to the leaders of these alliances, Tom Oury and Amanda Crocker with Montclair Recreation Center and Olivia Merrill and Denny Head with Lowry Elementary School.

We are pleased to share two major updates on this initiative:

  • Part 1 (Lowry Elementary School): We officially launched the alliance program by donating 110 books to the Lowry Elementary Book Machine.
  • Part 2 (Montclair Recreation Center): We are now initiating the second phase of the program with a $500 donation dedicated entirely to supporting youth programming at the Montclair Recreation Center.
