In 2026, AI scams are dominating the threat landscape, utilizing free, zero-skill tools to create hyper-personalized phishing, deepfake voice/video impersonation, and autonomous fraud campaigns. These AI-enhanced crimes are 4.5 times more profitable than traditional methods, often featuring fake customer service bots, investment scams with simulated dashboards, and cloned websites

As you can imagine, the possibilities are practically endless.  If you get a text, e-mail, phone call or voice message requesting or demanding your response, be on the alert.  Rather than clicking a provided link or responding to a text, e-mail, or phone call, go straight to the website of the source or contact the person as you normally would. Finally, seek support from family members, trusted friends, or counselors. Above all, don’t become too trusting, impatient, or intimidated and take a quick action you may regret.
