Home Electrification: Is It Time to Make the Switch?

Cleaner, Healthier, Cost Effective – The Wave of the Future

Tuesday, September 16

Eisenhower Chapel, 293 Roslyn St., Denver

Presented by the Lowry Climate Action Group, sponsored by Lowry United Neighborhoods.

Home Electrification Presentation, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Electric Vehicle Show by Lowry Neighbors, 6 to 7 p.m.

Come early, 6 p.m., and meet with your Lowry neighbors who have made the switch from gas to electric vehicles. They will be parked outside the chapel and available to answer your questions, invite you to sit in their cars and experience an EV.

At 7 p.m., head inside the chapel.

Go Electric Colorado (GEC) Presentation, 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Your furnace and air conditioner generally have a 20-25 year life span. A heat pump will replace both.  Is it time to replace them at your house?  Are you interested in a cleaner, healthier more efficient home?  Go Electric Colorado (GEC) will discuss how to electrify your home and the advantages of doing so.  The presentation will cover Electric Vehicles, solar panels, induction stoves, heat pumps and heat pump hot water heaters. It will be short, lively and followed by lots of opportunity for you to ask questions.  GEC is a non-profit, all volunteer group.

Electrifying your home is good for your health and the climate.  It will reduce your energy use. It is an initial expenditure with long term benefits.  Rebate programs are available through Xcel and the city of Denver.

Following Q and A, you will have the opportunity to book a free home consultation or a coaching session with a GEC expert.

Volunteer Opportunity for EV Owners: We are asking Lowry EV owners to step up and show off your EV. It’s a fun way to be proud and volunteer. Contact marc_alston@comcast.net if you are willing to bring and be with your EV from 6 to 7 p.m. on September 16. Please pass this notice to any EV owners who may not get the LUN newsletter.

Thanks to The Lowry Foundation. LUN appreciates the use of the beautiful, historic Eisenhower Chapel for our neighborhood events.
