Housing Is in the News
The situation is evolving. Most recently, Denver voters will be asked to decide on a sales tax increase to provide affordable housing. Since his inauguration, Mayor Johnston has implemented creative and aggressive programs to house and provide services to the unhoused, to aid migrants and to expand affordable Denver housing options. The situation is evolving as Denver takes unprecedented action to resolve multiple challenges.
In April 2022, LUN hosted a panel discussion on the many issues facing the unhoused and the programs serving them in Denver.
Two and a half years later it’s time to take another look.
•What is working?
•What have we learned?
•What has it cost?
•What has it saved?
•What can we (Denver citizens) do to help?
