How To Recycle Your Holiday Tree and Holiday Lights

Return the joy your tree brings you over the holiday season by giving it a new lease on life. Recycle your holiday tree by dropping it off at one of our collection sites. We’ll turn it into mulch made available to residents in the spring. 2024 Treecycle Collection runs from January 2 through January 31. More information here.

Do you have broken, burned-out or impossibly tangled sets of holiday lights stored away with last year’s holiday decorations? Don’t throw them out – recycle them for free instead! Last year, Denver recycled 4,352 lbs. of holiday lights. Accepted for Drop-off are light strings and wires for incandescent, LED, and “icicle” lights. Attached bulbs are okay. Learn more here.
