Volunteers Get Down and Dirty

A total of 43 volunteers gave their time for Work Day at Lowry Elementary on Saturday, April 9, 2022. Thanks to all! Volunteers included kids, 13 Lowry Foundation Silver Ropes volunteers, 17 Lowry families and 12 Lowry staff members. Volunteers cleaned out about 1500 square feet of weeds and old ground cover barriers to getting the side yard ready for spring planting in May. They trimmed the existing shrubs and completely pulled out the barrier sheets of ground cover barrier that were about four inches below the ground level. This project was organized by Lisa Davis a parent and active volunteers committed to the school grounds and gardens. She organized a similar project in the Spring of 2019 to clean up the front of the school. Silver Ropes is proud to partner with her to “get dirty” and put in the work.
