Advocacy

Dear Neighbor,

Lowry is a vibrant, caring community and Lowry United Neighborhoods (LUN) is here to keep it that way. As we launch our 2nd Annual Fundraising Campaign, we invite you to help sustain and grow our vital neighborhood programs.

Your support drives real impact:

·       Connected Community: Bringing over 300 residents—young and old—together for our 4th Annual Independence Day Celebration featuring a kids-on-decorated-bikes parade, live music, old-fashioned games, prizes, and food. Plus, our monthly LUN newsletter reaches 1,100+ neighbors, and new LUN Social Groups launch in January.

·       Informed Residents: Town Hall meetings at the Eisenhower Chapel tackling critical local topics, including Go Electric—Is It Time to Switch?, Water and Fire, Elected Officials (featuring Phil Weiser, Matt Ball, Sean Camacho, and Amanda Sawyer), and Data Centers with Matt Ball.

·       Cleaner Streets: 18+ months of Litter Free Lowry keeping our neighborhood pristine with 40+ volunteers and Lowry Elementary School “Trash Busters.”

·       Safety & Advocacy: Coffee with a Cop, Neighborhood Watch, traffic safety, and active local zoning/business advocacy (including the former East Lowry College property redevelopment).

·       Youth & Schools: Supporting Lowry Elementary (like stocking 105 books for the kids’ book machine) and Montclair Rec Center youth activities.

·       Caring for Our Community: Successfully transitioning the former Silver Ropes volunteer program into LUN LUV, providing monthly volunteers for the Food Bank of the Rockies and supporting Lowry’s own monthly food pantry.

How to Give: Starting December 1st, visit our new online donation site to contribute. For maximum impact, consider setting up a small monthly recurring gift to support these programs year-round.

Thank you for making Lowry such a wonderful place to call home.

With gratitude,

Lowry United Neighborhoods (LUN)
