One of our Lowry residents, Marc Alston, is recruiting neighbors who have an interest in forming a Climate Action Group. Marc says other Denver neighborhoods have these and he thinks its time for Lowry to focus on what we can do.

Hurricane Helene is an example of what’s coming as our climate worsens. Another one is Phoenix with 145 days this year over 100 degrees.

Marc is suggesting a meeting of those interested to identify and discuss possible focus areas. He has been a climate activist for several years and is willing to convene an initial meeting. While he is willing to convene an initial meeting, he says he does not want to lead the group. He would be willing to support someone who is willing to lead.
