The Lowry Foundation Silver Ropes volunteer program is back at it this fall helping out at the Food Bank of the Rockies. Over the past two years, our dedicated Silver Ropes Volunteers have contributed over 1,040 hours to support the essential work of the Food Bank of the Rockies. Your efforts have made a significant difference in the lives of many, and as we enter a new season, the need for our help is greater than ever.
Currently, one in nine people – including one in seven children – in Colorado is food insecure. These statistics are alarming and underscore the persistent increase in need across our region. To put it into perspective, in fiscal year 2024, the Food Bank of the Rockies distributed more than 94 million pounds of food, providing the equivalent of over 208,000 meals every single day. This represents a 15% increase in food distribution compared to the previous year.
Silver Ropes Volunteer Program Fall 2024 Schedule
We have an active fall at the Food Bank of the Rockies. We will be volunteering for the last time this year on the following date:
- December 10, 2024 | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

- Click on the date you wish to volunteer and the green “Sign up” button next to the event on the page.
- Log in to your account. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one. (You do not need a join code and can skip this step.)
- As part of the event registration, you will be required to accept the volunteer agreement and waiver.
- Once registered, you will receive an automatic confirmation email
All group participants must be signed up 2 weeks prior to the volunteer shift. The deadline for the December 10 event is November 25, 2024.
