This meeting was a presentation from the developer, United Properties, regarding their proposed new senior living facility development. United Properties is developing plans for active senior living apartments, assisted living and memory care units to be located on the Southwest corner of Lowry Blvd and Yosemite Way, currently the Machebeuf High School baseball field. The site will require rezoning to be adopted by Council.
The developers presented preliminary design information for the site plan, overview of architectural development, community benefits including provision for low-income active living apartments, easement to insure public access along the east side of Westerly Creek and a possible pickleball court with public access.

The Colorado Legislature 2021 session closed on June 15. Both our state representative, Steven Woodrow and state senator, Chris Hansen to talk about their accomplishments this session–legislation addressing Environment/Climate, Public Education, Housing Affordability, Equity, and Social Justice. Our councilwoman, Amanda Sawyer, will join the conversation to discuss the impact of this legislation at the city level as well as the “Right to Counsel” bill.
