To address traffic concerns and build upon the work that was done in 2021 and 2022, the District 5 Council Office has once again partnered with the Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, and local traffic engineering firm Fehr & Peers, to conduct a traffic study of Uinta Way in Lowry, from 11th Avenue to Lowry Boulevard. Uinta Way is one of the roads we receive the most calls and emails about from residents. This study will identify opportunities to calm traffic on Uinta Way and to improve crossings for people walking and biking.
Councilwoman Sawyer will host virtual community meetings in along with a resident survey and data collection by the traffic engineers. She would like to hear from the community to make Uinta Way safter.
The Uinta Way Traffic Study Kick-Off Meeting will be Wednesday, March 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. You can register to attend the meeting by going to Bit.ly/UintaTrafficStudyMar1 and please be sure to take the survey at Bit.ly/UintaWaySurvey.
