How Old Is Your Furnace and Air Conditioner? Your appliances do not last forever, and many in Lowry are over 20 years old. The Lowry Climate Action Group presents a LUN-sponsored home electrification event to help you learn how to replace those old furnaces and AC’s and move toward all electric. An all-electric home keeps your energy usage lower, it’s healthier for you and better for the environment. Tuesday, Sept. 16, Eisenhower Chapel @ 7 p.m.
The Electric Vehicle (EV) show by Lowry residents starts in the Chapel parking lot at 6 p.m. the home electrification presentation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Go Electric Colorado (GEC) will talk about how to electrify your home and will offer coaching to individual homeowners. Electrifying your home is good for your health, the climate, lowering energy use, and sometimes saving money. GEC will cover EVs, solar panels, induction stoves, heat pumps and heat pump hot water heaters. They will also address the various rebate programs. GEC is a non-profit, all volunteer group that also offers coaching to homeowners.
