Lowry Turned Out for the GEC Home Electrification Event

On Sept 16, LUN and the Climate Action Group hosted Go Electric Colorado (GEC) for a presentation on Home Electrification at Eisenhower Chapel, preceded by an Electric Vehicle show.

THERE’S STILL TIME FOR YOU TO MAKE THE SWITCH

To inquire about whether making the switch is right for you, go to GoElectricColorado.org and click on book your consult on the home page. Their consultants will provide objective, sensible information. They are not selling anything. Their tagline is Live Comfortably. Save Money. Build Resiliency. Reduce Emissions.

The event had eight EVs and their owners to show them off, including Rivians and Leafs, a Lucid, an Ioniq5, a Volvo, and a Mustang.

GEC had four very knowledgeable presenters to address how to electrify your home. They covered it all: insulation and sealing, heat pumps, induction stoves, heat pump water heaters, EVs and chargers, and home battery storage. These devices can help you move away from natural (fossil) gas, and can save money. Rebates are available from Denver, State and Federal sources, although most federal sources are expiring soon.

GEC is an all-volunteer organization that offers free consults (coaching) for homeowners on electrification questions including selecting contractors, costs, operation and rebates.
