DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, September 16\, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Eisenhower Chapel \nPresented by the Lowry Climate Action Group\, sponsored by Lowry United Neighborhoods \nHow Old Is Your Furnace and Air Conditioner? Your appliances do not last forever\, and many in Lowry are over 20 years old. The Lowry Climate Action Group presents a LUN-sponsored home electrification event to help you learn how to replace those old furnaces and AC’s and move toward all electric. An all-electric home keeps your energy usage lower\, it’s healthier for you and better for the environment. Tuesday\, Sept. 16\, Eisenhower Chapel @ 7 p.m.  \nThe Electric Vehicle (EV) show by Lowry residents starts in the Chapel parking lot at 6 p.m. the home electrification presentation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. \nGo Electric Colorado (GEC) will talk about how to electrify your home and will offer coaching to individual homeowners. Electrifying your home is good for your health\, the climate\, lowering energy use\, and sometimes saving money. GEC will cover EVs\, solar panels\, induction stoves\, heat pumps and heat pump hot water heaters. They will also address the various rebate programs. GEC is a non-profit\, all volunteer group that also offers coaching to homeowners.

Below is a list of parks\, open spaces\, and RTD bus stop benches that we need your help sprucing up. \nPlease review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. You are more than welcome to sign-up to clean a park and re-paint a bus stop! Volunteers must meet at the Montclair Recreation Center at 8:30 a.m. the day of the event to grab supplies. Breakfast\, coffee\, and juice will be provided. \nThe District 5 Council Office will provide these supplies for those cleaning our parks: \n\nGloves\nHand sanitizer\nDog waste bags\nBottle of water\nTrash bags\n\nThe District 5 Council Office will provide these supplies for those re-painting bus stops: \n\nBottle of Water\nGloves\nHand sanitizer\nRag\nSand Paper\nSpray Paint\nTrash bags\n\nFor the safety and health of everyone\, all volunteers are asked to please: \n\nClean and sanitize tools.\nWear sunscreen\nDress appropriately for weather\nSturdy footwear (no open toe shoes)\nHat is recommended\nAll children must be supervised\nDo not bring pets\nYour clothes may get stained so please dress appropiately!\n\nRemember that bus stop benches are on or near private property\, so please be respectful.
