DESCRIPTION:From Amanda Sawyer’s office: \nMayor Mike Johnston will be hosting two town halls in District 5 within the next week. The topic of these meetings will be his emergency declaration on homelessness. I encourage all residents to attend these meetings and to share your thoughts with the Mayor and his team. \nThis is an initiative of the new Mayor\, not a City Council initiative\, so I will not be in attendance at these meetings; however I think it is important that District 5 residents have their voices heard. The details of those meetings are: \n\nSaturday\, August 5th at the Montclair Recreation Center from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.\n\n  \n\nWednesday\, August 9th at George Washington High School from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

CW Sawyer will be providing bagels and coffee for participants. \nOn April 30\, volunteers may meet at the Montclair Recreation Center to gather supplies. My office will be providing bagels and coffee there as well. Supplies include two pairs of gloves\, two trash bags\, and four dog waste bags. If you’d like to bring your own supplies as well\, please do so! Thank you and see you on April 30! \nAll volunteers will be required to sign a waiver. \nFor the safety and health of everyone please: \n\nStay home if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms\, including a fever\, cough or shortness of breath.\nWear sunscreen.\nDress appropriately for the weather.\nWear sturdy footwear (no open toe shoes).\nWearing a hat is recommended.\nAll children must be supervised.\nDo not bring pets.\n\nThank you for your help!
