SUMMARY:Week Without Driving Challenge Oct. 2 - 8
DESCRIPTION:Do you know what it’s like to get around Denver without the option to drive? Are you willing to find out? National Week Without Driving is October 2–8\, and we’re teaming up with Pedestrian Dignity and the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) to bring the campaign to Denver for the first time. We’re inviting community members and public leaders alike to take the #WeekWithoutDriving challenge and share what they learn from it. \nDenver Streets Partnership hosting three events to gather with the community and make the Week Without Driving experience as impactful as possible for participants. The Thursday before the challenge kicks off\, you can attend our webinar\, “Preparing for Your Week Without Driving\,” for tips on getting around Denver without a car. During the week of the challenge\, our Youth Mobility Justice Gathering will center youth in the conversation about transportation issues and activism. We’ll wrap up the week with a film screening and panel discussion around the community-led fight for safer streets and the City of Denver’s progress toward Vision Zero. \nDenver Street Partnership is stoked to provide folks the opportunity to experience their lives without driving in a supported and connected way.
