DESCRIPTION:LeafDrop is a seasonal program offered by the City and County of Denver that turns leaves into compost. The final compost product is made available at a discounted price to Denver residents at the Mulch Giveaway & Compost Sale each May. \nWeekday Drop Sites: Oct. 10 – Dec. 2  \nThe following LeafDrop locations will beopen on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: \nCherry Creek Transfer Station – 7301 E. Jewell Ave. (enter on E. Jewell Ave.) \nHavana Nursery – 10450 Smith Rd. (enter on Smith Road)  \nCentral Platte Campus – 1271 W. Bayaud Ave. (next to the Denver Animal Shelter) \n  \nWeekend Drop Sites: Nov. 4 – Nov. 20  \nThe following LeafDrop locations will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:   \n  \nBruce Randolph High School – E. 40th Ave. and Steele St. \nCherry Creek Transfer Station – 7301 E. Jewell Ave. (enter on E. Jewell Ave.) \nKennedy High School – Newland St. and Brown Pl. \nSloan’s Lake Park – 17th Ave. and Sheridan Blvd. (enter on W. 17th Ave.) \nVeterans Park – S. Vine St. and E. Iowa Ave. \n  \nThe Cherry Creek Transfer Station is the only site accepting loose leaves. Leaves brought to all other LeafDrop sites must be in paper bags. \n  \nCompost customers can continue to put leaves and other yard debris in their green carts.
